Our twin 2, Danyl Kevin James, died in his Mammy’s arms on Monday 22nd October 2018, aged 1 year and 10 days old.  

Although some may think this was a short time with us, we were actually told Danyl probably wouldn’t survive pregnancy.  However, we quickly realised Danyl did things his own way and came to cherish every single second we had with all our boys.  The day before he died he had been for a check up and everything was ‘just his normal’, so it was a shock to us when he died so suddenly the next day, even though we had been expecting it to happen since June 2017! 

4Louis provided us with a memory box for him and his twin, Dylan, when they were first born (as we thought we would have hours/days with him)  and the contents are something we will cherish forever.  We received another memory box when he died and again the prints and castings are something to treasure.  They also provided us with a cuddle cot/ cold mat.  This allowed us precious time with Danyl, in the comfort of our home and it enabled our friends and family to come and give him ‘one last cuddle’.  

With this in mind, we are aiming to raise enough money to cover the costs of one of these cuddle cots so that we can donate it to a hospital in Danyl’s name!  This is our way of making sure Danyl’s name is not forgotten and ensuring he helps others during a time of unimaginable grief.
